The team of Bai-Tushum Bank shows a brilliant game at KPMG Chess Premier League

Bishkek hosted the second championship of KPMG Chess Premier League for the companies representing Kyrgyz business community. Rapid chess competition was organized by KPMG company with the support of the Kyrgyz Chess Federation.

The competition was based on Swiss 7 round system and individual Top League rotation system tournament. The team tournament (“Premier League”) engaged 20 teams, representing Kyrgyz companies, enterprises, state institutions and business communities. The team of Bai-Tushum Bank took the third medal place.

Moreover, employee of Bai-Tushum Bank Kanat Umaraliev took the first place on the first board.

Over two years the championship became an excellent forum for sharing chess experience, as well as for informal communication with interesting people from among the representatives of Kyrgyz business circles.

– The tournament has become a traditional event thanks to KPMG company and we are very grateful to them for such attention to sport and chess. We placed professionals to the Super League and they were playing separately. It is necessary to point out that selection was held in the banks. It will ensure chess advocacy and popularization. At the same time, the Federation’s board of trustees will be expanded owning to such tournaments. We are deeply grateful for assistance to Damil Toktogonov, internationally certified referee. The participants are also very pleased with the tournament, – says Milan Turpanov, Federation President.
